- The original Power had a Flashable DSP, however, its primary purpose was
- to allow motorola to tweak the code after it shipped. The code for the
- DSP was frozen with ROM rev.2, having never been publicly advertised as
- having a FlashDSP. It is VERY unlikely that motorola will support 33.6
- with either the Power or the Lifestyle.
-
- If you really want a 33.6 modem, look into the Primiere, which Motorola
- does claim to have a Flash DSP. Its up to you whether the extra 15%
- (which you will likely never see) is worth the extra $$$

- I was wholely disappointed with the Courier. If you need wierd protocols,
- get it, but its interoperability was not up to the hype. We replaced ours
- with ATT Paradynes, which have v.terbo & 33.6, two key issues for us, and
- are only about $150 more.
-
- For personal use, all you likely need is v.34+, I'd stick with the Motorola.
-
- BTW, Network Computing recently gave the Lifestyle an honorable mentionin
- their yearly awards for giving workgroup class performance at a consumer
- price point.
